The nearest airport is called Los Garzones in the city of Hunting, at about 2 hours of Paso Nuevo. Upon arriving in Montería you can coordinate a direct taxi to Paso Nuevo that costs $200,000 COP with capacity for 4 people, we provide contact with the taxi from the hotel

You can take a bus or a shared car to Lorica and there at the transport terminal take another one collective car towards Paso Nuevo. You should keep in mind that the Montería transport terminal is not close to the airport and it is best to get a transport that does not have to leave that terminal. The closest transport terminal to the airport on the route to Lorica is the one in Cereté, 15 minutes away.

By private car:
If you come from cities in the inside (Medellin, Bogota, etc.) the nearest city which you must reach It is Montería and then to Lorica. If you are coming from the Atlantic coast (Cartagena, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, etc.) the nearest city will be directly Lorica.
From Montería to Lorica there is 50 min approx and from Cartagena to Lorica there is 4 hrs approx. Once in Lorica you must take the Lorica-Moñito routes. On that road, 45 minutes from Lorica and after passing San Bernardo del Viento, you'll find Paso Nuevo. There's parking there, with rates ranging from approximately 10,000 COP to 12,000 COP per day. We recommend Señora Ana's parking lot.
*The Lorica-Moñitos road is under constant repair and may have sections in poor condition. Normally, any vehicle can pass.

To travel by bus you can get your ticket to Lorica (closest terminal to the island), at the Lorica terminal you can find collective cars to Paso Nuevo. If you arrive by bus to Montería, from the terminal of transports from there you can find buses to Lorica for approximately 18,000 COP per person.
At the terminal Lorica You can easily get transportation to Paso Nuevo (approximately 45 min), they are usually shared cars, if you choose this option you will probably have to wait for the other spaces to fill up (4 spaces per car), this trip has a value of 15,000 COP per person or if you want the car just for yourself it has a value of 60,000 COP approx.

There are 2 types of boat service to Fuerte Island:
– Collective boat: It is the cheapest way and you must wait until there are enough passengers to leave. (It will take 5-6 passengers). These boats usually leave in the morning, so it is easier to get them. 7 am to 12 pm During the high season they depart much more frequently. This option can cost between 35,000 – 50,000 COP per person.
– Express boat (private): This means hiring the entire boat for yourself and it leaves at the time you decide, before 6 pm. This option may cost 160,000 COP -180,000 COP for 6 people. people (additional cost)
*Normally either of these 2 boat options will drop you off directly at the hotel.
IMPORTANT: To leave the island, please note that the shared boats depart in the morning (until approximately 12 noon). If you wish to leave the island using this option, please adhere to the schedule provided at reception. If there are no more people to fill a shared boat at the time you require, you will be responsible for the cost of the private boat.
